Tango After Dark

Watch a performance brimming with passion unfold at Tango After Dark, a show led by genre superstars German Cornejo and Gisela Galeassi. Accompanied by an ensemble of ten dancers, the World Tango champions will ignite the Dubai Opera stage with the vibrant spirit of Buenos Aires on 26 and 27 April. Brought to life with the compositions of Astor Piazzolla, a live band of seven musicians alongside two vocalists will deliver playful sounds which will take you on a trip to Latin America.
Born in Zarate, Argentinian tango dancer Cornejo became World Tango Champion in 2015. The artist has performed at prestigious venues worldwide, including the Shanghai Oriental Arts Center, The Joyce Theatre – New York and the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. Galeassi hails from Cordoba, where she began her dance journey at the age of three. The dancer has graced stages across continents including the Sydney Opera House and Mandalay Bay Arena in Las Vegas.
